Materials

To create a durable and stylish leather collar, you'll need a selection of materials. Below, you'll find a complete list of all the materials needed for this project.

Note! The number of pieces of 60cm Type I rope will vary based on how many flowers you want to make. (We used 4 of the first colour, 4 of the second colour, 3 of the third colour and 3 of the fourth colour for a 40cm collar.)

Tools

Leatherworking involves various techniques and requires several tools for these techniques. Below is a complete list of the tools used in this process. Each one is important for crafting the leather, adding the lining, or securing the paracord lacing.

Punching the holes
There are two ways to go about this. You can either use a spindle press or punch the holes with a rotary punch. Do you already have some other tools, like leather punches, at home? You can use those as well, just make sure that the holes will be about 3.5 mm big.
